Vanik Kaufmann-Jinoian, born in 1958 in Calcutta, India, grew up in Basel, Switzerland where he also had his professional training as dental technician. He then specialized in ceramic veneering works in several Swiss laboratories.

During this period he also attended a marketing training in the U.S.A. For VITA-Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, he worked as a trainer on international level. After having opened his own dental lab in 1990 this has become a limited job. Today he is head of a dental lab in Liestal, Switzerland where all domains of modern dentistry are represented.

Presently he is working as a CAD/CAM consultant for Sirona, Bensheim. His large experience in the field of dental ceramics processing is also reflected in regular publications and lecturing all over the world
