Align Technology launches regional e-connect series of webinars in collaboration with CAPPmea
A total of eleven webinars will take place in the first half of 2021 through the CAPPmea digital platform to drive orthodontist and general practitioner awareness and learning of the Invisalign system. These webinars will be interactive courses led by the Align team of clinical education orthodontists and general practitioners. The topics will include understanding the aligner biomechanics, the management of different types of malocclusion with Invisalign clear aligners, digital treatment planning techniques and clinical protocols.
This virtual format reflects Align Technology’s ongoing commitment to share knowledge with specialist orthodontists and dental practitioners in the region and offer them a platform to exchange best practices and embrace the digital technologies available to help further grow their practices.
Angelo Maura, General Manager of Align Technology for the MEA region, said: “The Middle East region is at a crucial turning point, with unprecedented technological advancements and forward-thinking government visions. Following the strong impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the entire dental community last year, many practitioners have emerged with a greater sense of agility and flexibility towards digital workflows that helped their businesses.
“In a region that is ripe for innovation and open to continued advancement, our collaboration with CAPPmea will serve as a much-needed platform for leveraging the digital technologies that will move us toward the future of dentistry. The digitisation of the dental sector is upon us, and improving digital practices and workflows for patients and dentists is of paramount importance to us in 2021.”
In the last quarter of 2020, four successful webinars in collaboration with CAPPmea, led by Dr. Moustafa Khalil,Clinical iTero Trainer MEA, took place with over 800 attendees per online event.
Dr Dobrina Mollova, Founder & Managing Director of CAPP, commented: “Despite the exceptional global situation of COVID-19, there is a power in people coming together, and especially when the goal is a common cause – to serve our patients to the best of our capabilities. CAPP is very excited to be collaborating with Align Technology in the MEA region, bringing forward a new concept of accredited education in Orthodontics through the recently introduced “Invisalign - eConnect Continued Education” CME (continuing medical education) virtual series. The continuous cooperation will further support clinicians to optimise the use of modern digital technology as we look through and beyond the COVID-19 global pandemic.”
