About CAPP

Centre for Advanced Professional Practices (CAPP) was founded in 2005 in Dubai, UAE with the sole purpose of delivering excellence in Dental Continuing Medical Education in the Middle East and beyond. CAPP is an American Dental Association (ADA) C.E.R.P Recognised Provider (since 2012), specialising in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) dental education programmes.

Growth

For the past 18 years, CAPP has facilitated 1,743 CME programmes educating 400,986 international participants. Ever since 2005 CAPP has experienced year-on-year growth and in 2023 alone CAPP educated 78,152 international dental professionals. The sharp increase of number of participants in 2020-2023 compared to previous years is driven by online education – complimentary for all dental professionals conferences and webinars. In 2023 alone, CAPP organised 152 online webinars and delivered 201 days of hands-on training in its training center.

36th Int’l Dental Confex CAD/CAM Digital & Oral Facial Aesthetics – 2023

On 27-28 October 2023, CAPP hosted 5,142 dental professionals at the prestigious Madinat Jumeirah Arena & Conference Centre in Dubai, UAE. This marked CAPP's largest scientific gathering in the Middle East, featuring scientific conferences, an expansive exhibition with complimentary access, CME training zones, hands-on courses, round table sessions, seminars, poster presentations, and an awards gala dinner from 25-29 October 2023. Renowned international speakers, including Dr. Galip Gürel, Dr. Mauro Fradeani, and Dr. Miguel Stanley, shared their invaluable insights. Event highlights:

CAPP Asia

With the opening of CAPP Asia in 2012, the company’s reach has expanded to the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. CAPP Asia main focus in the region is the Asia-Pacific Edition of the CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry Conference & Exhibition held in Singapore on a bi-annual basis in addition to hands-on training courses and Post-graduate programmes.

Opened in 2016, CAPP Training Institute is a world-class facility for continuing professional development in Dubai. The Training Centre can accommodate up to 30 delegates. CAPP is the owner of the print and digital publication. CAPP is delivering six print editions annually to over 25,000 dental professionals (150,000 copies annually) and newsletters to over 205,899 active subscribers every two weeks (approx. 5,353,374 e-mail annually). The news reaches the dental community worldwide.

Conferences & Exhibitions

CAPP is the organiser of the two leading dental scientific conferences in the region: CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry Conference & Exhibition (1st edition in 2005) and Dental Facial Cosmetic International Conference & Exhibition (DFCIC) (1st edition in 2009). For 2024 and going forward, CAPP is combining its two annual scientific events into one major international meeting named “37th Int’l Dental ConfEx CAD/CAM Digital & Oral Facial Aesthetics” put a link to the page. This leading international event will include the sub-events of CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry Conference & Exhibition, Dental Facial Cosmetic International Conference & Exhibition, Digital Orthodontics Symposium (DOS), Pediatric Dentistry Symposium (PDS), Dental Hygienist Seminar (DHS) and Dental Technician International Meeting (DTIM).

Continuing Dental Education

CAPP offers over 200 days of hands-on training courses per year across a broad spectrum of subjects. Classes vary in length from one-day seminars and short hands-on training courses to long-term Professional Training programmes in Restorative, Aesthetic, Endodontics, Implantology, Periodontology, Lasers and others. All programmes are certified from the authorised accreditation entities. Most of CAPP’s training courses are taking place at the CAPP Training Institute located in Dubai, UAE.

mCME Self Instruction

CAPP together with Dental Tribune provides the opportunity with its mCME - Self Instruction Programme, a quick and simple way to meet your continuing education needs. mCME offers the flexibility to work at one’s own pace through the material from any location at any time. The content is international, drawn from the upper echelon of dental medicine, and also presents a regional outlook in terms of perspective and subject matter.

Online CME Education

In 2020 CAPP launched its Online Educational Platform called CAPP Online Dental CME Self-instructional Education. The content is non-commercial, unbiased and delivers high-quality evidence-based education. The programmes allows participants the flexibility to work at their own pace from any location at any time. The content is international, drawn from the upper echelon of dental medicine, in terms of perspective and subject matter. CAPP organises Online Webinars which are delivered free of charge to the dental professionals on various multidisciplinary topics supported by many different dental industry manufacturers such as Dentsply Sirona, Formlabs, Straumann, Acteon, Oral-B (P&G), Align Technology, FKG, NSK, Ultradent, TBR Implants, Colgate-Palmolive, Lyra, Centrix, Itena, Carestream, Curaden, GSK/Haleon, Sprig, Aidite, Shofu, Mani just to name a few.

CAPP offers multi-faceted collaborations with leading brands in the dental industry such as Dentsply Sirona, Envista, King's College London, 3M, Oral-B (P&G), Align Technology, Philips Sonicare, Colgate-Palmolive, Straumann, Wrigley’s, Ormco and GSK (GlaxoSmithKline)/Haleon (just to name a few) to engage with the community of dental and medical healthcare professionals.
