Dr. Eduardo Mahn, Chile



Dr. Mahn is a graduate from the University of Chille, School of Dentistry. He received the German DDS in Munster, Westfalen Lippe one year later. The New York University College of Dentistry certified him as Implantologist in 2007. In 2008, he published his doctorate thesis in 2008 titled "Osseointegration of zirconia implants, an in vivo study" and got his doctorate degree in 2010.

Between 2007 and 2009 he worked for Ivoclar Vivadent at the ICDE (International Center for Dental Education), Schaan, Liechtenstein. Later he joined Samaya clinic in Jeddah, KSA between 2009 and 2011. Currently he is an associate at CIPO clinic in Santiago, Chille and is the Head of Clinical Research at the Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chille. He has been lecturing intensively about Esthetic Dentistry and Implantology in more than 40 countries and is author from several articles.

Lecture

11:00 – 13:00 Clinical cases discussion, comparison of different materials will be done (PFM, Zirconium oxide, glass ceramics, possibilities and limitations) Cementation techniques (overview). Several fully documented, step by step clinical cases will be presented and discussed Interactive session

14:00 – 15:45 Preparation of a classic veneer, a thin veneer and a full veneer. Hands-on

Course objectives
At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

3. Understand the different types of veneers and their indications.
4. Understand the challenges when teeth are prepared
5. Understand the value shade concept for cementation and the relevance of cements in the survival rate of veneers
