Vanik Kaufmann-Jinoian, born in 1958 in Calcutta, India, grew up in Basel, Switzerland where he also had his professional training as dental technician. He then specialized in ceramic veneering works in several Swiss laboratories. During this period he also attended a marketing training in the U.S.A. For VITA-Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, he worked as a trainer on international level. After having opened his own dental lab in 1990 this has become a limited job. Today he is head of a dental lab in Liestal, Switzerland where all domains of modern dentistry are represented.
Presently he is working as a CAD/CAM consultant for Sirona, Bensheim. His large experience in the field of dental ceramics processing is also reflected in regular publications and lecturing all over the world

This course is to get the operator (dentists) to feel more secure in achieving high aesthetics. Being more economical in producing restorations and reduce the amount of remakes. Understanding how to use the new generation of hybrid ceramics and Lithium ceramics what possibilities and what limitations they have in the chair side world. Learning how to feel secure with internal and external stains. Being more economical increasing your aesthetic skills and making patients happy.

This one day hands on demonstration will cover the following topics for dentist and dental technicians:

1) Improve your skills and accuracy in shade selection with a method that only takes 30 seconds to select the right shade.
2) Achieve high aesthetics with hybrid ceramics through internal and external staining. This staining technique will help you correct difficult situations at chair side.
3) How to use titanium bases, how to bond and follow the right handling protocol.
4) Troubleshooting some problems with titanium base. How to separate a boned titanium base from Lithium type materials.
5) Behind the scene of lithium type materials and where you have to be careful in obtaining high aesthetics.
6) General techniques for dentists and technicians to get the results they desire in surface texture and grinding techniques.
7) Learn the limitations of intraoral scanners so you can learn how to differentiate when and when not to use them.

During the whole training the participants will have the opportunity to discuss their problems they may be having in their practice or in the lab.
