Vanik Kaufmann-Jinoian, born in 1958 in Calcutta, India, grew up in Basel, Switzerland where he also had his professional training as dental technician. He then specialized in ceramic veneering works in several Swiss laboratories. During this period he also attended a marketing training in the U.S.A. For VITA-Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, he worked as a trainer on international level. After having opened his own dental lab in 1990 this has become a limited job. Today he is head of a dental lab in Liestal, Switzerland where all domains of modern dentistry are represented.
Presently he is working as a CAD/CAM consultant for Sirona, Bensheim. His large experience in the field of dental ceramics processing is also reflected in regular publications and lecturing all over the world

This course is to get the operator (dentists and dental technicians) to feel more secure in achieving high aesthetics. Being more economical in producing restorations and reduce the amount of remakes. Understanding how to use the new generation of hybrid ceramics and Lithium ceramics what possibilities and what limitations they have in the chair side world. Learning how to feel secure with internal and external stains. Being more economical increasing your aesthetic skills and making patients happy.

This one day hands on demonstration will cover the following topics for dentist and dental technicians:

1) Improve your skills and accuracy in shade selection with a method that only takes 30 seconds to select the right shade.
2) Achieve high aesthetics with hybrid ceramics through internal and external staining. This staining technique will help you correct difficult situations at chair side.
3) How to use titanium bases, how to bond and follow the right handling protocol.
4) Troubleshooting some problems with titanium base. How to separate a boned titanium base from Lithium type materials.
5) Behind the scene of lithium type materials and where you have to be careful in obtaining high aesthetics.
6) General techniques for dentists and technicians to get the results they desire in surface texture and grinding techniques.
7) Learn the limitations of intraoral scanners so you can learn how to differentiate when and when not to use them.

During the whole training the participants will have the opportunity to discuss their problems they may be having in their practice or in the lab.

After receiving his dental degree from the Paris Descartes university(France), he continued his education in Implant Dentistry in 2003 and “Continuing Dental Education”. As a visiting professor in CAD/CAM technology at Paris Descartes University and a CAD/CAM user for more than 10 years, Dr. Moussally can share his academic and practical view on chairside implant planning.

Dr. Mahn is a graduate from the University of Chille, School of Dentistry. He received the German DDS in Munster, Westfalen Lippe one year later. The New York University College of Dentistry certified him as Implantologist in 2007. In 2008, he published his doctorate thesis in 2008 titled "Osseointegration of zirconia implants, an in vivo study" and got his doctorate degree in 2010.

Between 2007 and 2009 he worked for Ivoclar Vivadent at the ICDE (International Center for Dental Education), Schaan, Liechtenstein. Later he joined Samaya clinic in Jeddah, KSA between 2009 and 2011. Currently he is an associate at CIPO clinic in Santiago, Chille and is the Head of Clinical Research at the Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chille. He has been lecturing intensively about Esthetic Dentistry and Implantology in more than 40 countries and is author from several articles.

It will start with a lecture explaining the biological backround for tooth preparations, diagnostic protocols with focus on the facial perspective. Tooth anatomy and preparations rules will be discussed and how to choose the right tooth form will be presented. Then several clinical cases will be shown and discussed. In the afternoon, the hands-on part will follow with preparation, temporization and cementation of an indirect veneer.

Dr James Russell has been awarded the highly prestigious British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) Accreditation in recognition of excellence in cosmetic dentistry, the youngest dentist to achieve this.

James’ work has been widely published in the dental press and he regularly lectures and instructs dentists on the art and science of aesthetic and restorative dentistry both in the UK and abroad, recently he has helped develop new techniques with the Inman Aligner to promote the provision of minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry.

His opinions and skills are heavily featured in magazines, on radio and since 2009 James has been the dental expert providing advice and treatment on Channel 4’s highly popular, BAFTA winning, Embarrassing Bodies program.

The Inman Aligner is a revolutionary appliance, described as the "missing-link" between cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, that can move teeth in the anterior region predictably and quickly using a single appliance which

Dr. Edwin Heng graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BDS degree in 1999, winning the gold medal for being the best all-round final year dental student of his cohort.
He was also awarded the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Postgraduate Scholarship in 2001 and further obtained his Masters in Oral Biology and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (Periodontology) from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004. From 2008-2009, he was attached to the prestigious Harvard University School of Dental Medicine as a Visiting Adjunct Faculty, where he helped direct both didactics and clinical components in Postgraduate PeriodonticsHe lectures frequently within the Asian dental circuit. He currently maintains his clinical forte in the realms of Periodontics and Implant dentistry.

We often encounter patients who have advanced periodontal disease. In this course, we will cover the different scenarios that challenge periodontal stability, including diabetes, smoking, stress, anxiety and erratic compliance.
